Length of Program

Options is a 12-month program that runs from September to August.  Students participate for one year.

 

Application Process

Students must complete an application and submit by May 1 of each calendar year.  Application finalists will be interviewed prior to selection.  Options selects 12 students each year.  Students may download the application and return via email to: kfoundationmi!@gmail.com

 

Location

Options meets at the K Foundation offices, 1460 E Forest each week, Wednesday, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

 

Requirements for Participation

Students selected for the program will need 1) valid driver’s license or state ID; 2) real ID or passport for travel; 3) doctor’s proof of required vaccinations; 4) minimum 2.0 grade point average; 5) parental content form; 6) photo release form.

 

Travel

Options provides domestic and international travel for youth.  These trips provide students with exposure to opportunities to assist them in their education, career, and personal life choices.

 

Additional Program Offerings

Options will introduce students to professionals in business, entrepreneurship, finance, and education as part of its relationship building platform.  Students will have a curriculum, activities, and projects to assist them in completing assignments.
